Sponsor a Dance Student
Make a huge difference in someone's life by sponsoring their dance education
We believe in the power of dance and one of the hardest things we've found as studio owner's is that we cannot say yes to everyone who needs financial assistance. Read on to find out about how scholarships work at Studio en Avant and how you can help make a HUGE impact on someone's life.

How it works.
Scholarships at Studio en Avant are given on a need based basis with priority given to students who have already shown a commitment and passion for dance. We have three scholarship types: 1. Leaping Over the Hard Stuff 2.Keeping the Family Together and 3. Leveling Up.
1. Making dance consistent - even in times of change.
Particularly in moments of big change - a family going through a divorce, a parent losing their job, mom having to take off of work to have a baby - students can suddenly find themselves without a way to pay for their dance training. This means that parents often simply stop paying or showing up to class - sometimes without even notifying the studio. Our "Leap over the hard times" scholarships are 6 month long partial and full scholarships for families who need help to pay with dance tuition while they go through a life transition. This temporary scholarship means that when a students life is undergoing big changes - they can find consistency in movement and friendship in a positive environment.
How it works.
2. Keeping Families Together
Sometimes new dance families can afford one child but cannot afford the second child - no matter how excited that person might be to dance! At Studio en Avant: Our "keep the family together" scholarship allows the second family member to dance when they otherwise would not be able to. They are awarded in 6 month increments.
How it works.
3. Leveling Up
As student's advance - tuition becomes more expensive. This scholarship - awarded in 1 year increments - means that families who cannot afford the raise in tuition can continue paying what they were paying before as their child levels up to the next level.
What do scholarship students have to do?
1. All scholarship students remain anonymous -- No Shame, No Stigma
2. All scholarship students must maintain good attendance.
How to sponsor a student -
There are two different methods of sponsoring a student. The first is a one time gift that goes to the studio and is used compensate for lost tuition. The second is a recurring gift (much like your own tuition) that is billed monthly and used directly for scholarship students.
