(216) 800 1697
32901 Station St. Solon OH 44139

Communication: Communication is essential to success! The studio does communicate with students via email, text, WeChat and take-home notices. Please take the time to communicate absences and illness with us via text, email or phone. Please Take Time to read all information sent home and emails. We value your privacy and will never give your personal contact information to a third party without your permission.

Body Positivity: Studio en Avant is a body positive environment. Students and parents are expected to speak positively about all bodies (including their own) in the studio.

Water Bottles Welcome: All students are encouraged to bring water into the studio with them to stay hydrated throughout class. No food or other beverages in studios. Water only.

Missed Classes and Makes Ups Attendance is crucial in the progress of the class and the dancer. Students need to consider their other activities/work schedules before making a commitment to dance and it is your responsibility to attend your regularly scheduled class. If you cannot attend, please let us know. If hoping to do a make-up class, students must ask permission from the front desk and communicate clearly when they are coming. Some classes are too full for makeups and classes close to the recital will be dedicated to rehearsing performance pieces. There will be no pro-rated tuition OR refunds given for missed classes.
Parent/Student Classroom Communication: Parents are not allowed to communicate with students while they are working in the classroom unless it is an emergency. Extra communication from parents is a distraction to both students and teachers. If there is a behavior problem that needs additional help, the teacher will reach out to you.

Scheduled Closure: The studio will be closed for certain federal holidays and each winter between Christmas and the New Year Holiday. Your program tuition includes these closures. Students may be invited to join a free workshop during these “off times” This is a bonus experience to our students who are in town during holidays.

Winter Weather Closure: The studio does not attach its closures to any local school district. In the even that a decision is made to close Studio en Avant due to inclement weather students will be notified by email and text as well as announcements made on WeChat and Meta Platforms. See the front desk for students who miss classes due to weather closures and special arrangements will be made for makeups.
Additional Costs: Students can expect to pay participation and costume fees for performances. These will vary depending on the performance and the program in which the student is currently enrolled.
Program Length: It takes commitment and time from both students and teachers to progress in dance. Dance is not a seasonal sport. Studio en Avant’s programs are designed as 12-month long programs. If you are unable to keep your commitment to dance, we ask for 30 days’ notice. This allows us to adjust our choreography, programs and teachers accordingly.

Uniforms: With the exception of adult classes, all Studio en Avant students are expected to bring and wear the correct uniform for class. Loaner leotards will not be provided.

Hair (Youth Students): Girls must wear their hair in a secure bun for all classes; boys with long hair must tie it back neatly and securely off the face. Dancers with textured, braided, or protective hairstyles (including locs, twists, and braids) may wear any secured style that keeps hair off the face and neck.

Hygiene: All students are expected to demonstrate good hygiene in the studio. Athletic wear, leotards and shoes should be washed frequently. Students or parents who smell of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave.
Street Shoes: Street shoes are NOT to be worn in the studios at any time. Only approved dance footwear.
